Back home now after an amazing morning, walking the Gloucester 5k Race for Life with my awesome granddaughter Evie.
We only decided to do it just over a week ago, when we were talking about cancer and she was asking me questions about when I was poorly with breast cancer a few years ago. I suddenly decided that this was the year I wanted to do it, and Evie was the one I wanted to do it with!! When deciding what pink things I would wear, I thought of my mum’s pink cardigan…..she was wearing this when she was poorly and when she died, it was such a comfort for me, so I put it on for the first time in almost 3 years and it felt amazing.
At about the 4k mark we were flagging a little so popped in to Patisserie Valerie…….never expected to get caught on camera by my husband Trev ha ha…all in the name of raising money I say!!
I think we have raised over £160 for Cancer Research, and couldn’t have done it without donations from kind friends and family, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH 🙂
Think an afternoon of art is in order…..don’t you?
