I have had a lovely afternoon in the Paint Palette studio, showing others what fun you can have with stamps, inks, embossing powders and distress stickles!
We produced 5 different tags….one with ‘Distress’ Inks activated with water, dried re-inked and stamped with clear embossing powder.
On our second one we again spritzed Distress’ Inks with water and then once dry, inked the same colours through a mask to make a subtle background. We stamped an image onto this and then added some black Glossy Accents to accentuate a few areas.
Our third tag used an ink resist technique. We embossed an image with clear embossing powder, then inked behind with ‘Distress’ inks, finishing it off with a sparkly embossed image.
On our fourth tag I showed everyone how to make card look like leather by embossing all over the tag leaving a little area to ink (no photo).
Finally on tag no. 5 we applied a patterned rose napkin with Jo Sonja All Purpose Sealer and added Ranger Stickles to a few areas (no photo).
The photos above are from a selection I took of my students’ work. Lots of fun, lots of techniques and a yummy home made lemon cake courtesy of my mum to keep us going!
Happy crafting…..
