It feels so good to be writing this post….I have been really poorly with flu the last 10 days and had to cancel my classes and two workshops…..even now I am quite weak, but on the mend which is the main thing!
I was feeling a bit better at the weekend so thought I would pick up my pencils and have a go at another face…shaky to start with but once I got going I forgot I was ill which was great. Unfortunately I had fatigue for another two days so no more art but today I couldn’t resist tweaking my Folky Girl that I had done a while ago, so obviously on the mend!
This was my first ‘girl’ and I have drawn many faces since so felt confident to play with her face and improve her looks ha ha….great fun, as the basics had been done and I could just play…bit like applying make up!! I’m so thrilled with her now.
As you can see from my desk photo, I treated myself to a set of Gelatos…have had a little play and in fact used them for the eyes on the girl at the top, with any new product you just have to go for it and see what happens. They’re great for smudging lol and obviously I will HAVE to have every colour…oh dear!!!!!
If you fancy popping over to other crafty desks click on the stamping ground a great blog hosted by Julia where others like me, share what they’ve been up to.
Happy Wednesday everyone….

Oh dear, Gelatos are infectious. I don’t really know how to use them properly but I do like playing with the few I have got.
Love your girl faces and your completed figure – this is exactly what I want to do now so you can see I am envious of your talent and wish I lived closer so I could attend your classes.
Enjoy!
Hugs & Thanks for the visit

What lovely work you do Dawn. Your face is beautiful. What a shame you had to cancel your classes. I do hope you’ll soon be feeling completely well again. I had similar last year and it knocked me back for several weeks.
