March News

Is Spring really here?  Daffodils are out, Tulips are emerging and best of all the sun is shining…wahoo…..there is nothing like a bit of sun to make you feel good.  This trug sits on my kitchen windowsill and the design I did on it always makes me smile…hearts, flowers, insects…a real feeling of Summer.  I would love to share this easy style of painting with you at a workshop and you could make the design your own if you wanted……let me know what you think!

February was a busy month in the Paint Palette Studio…my weekly students finished their Linda Lock butterfly projects and then we had lots of creative fun making vintage dress canvas’s using papers, wire, beads etc, I also ran this class as a workshop which is being repeated again later this month.  My Daisy Canvas workshop and ‘Home’ Scrapbooking class were a great success and showed that it doesn’t matter whether you are painting with acrylics on canvas or embossing vintage papers with powders, beads and inks…you can still produce something you are thrilled with and have a great day out!

Later this month I am running two half-day terracotta workshops where I will demonstrate how easy it is to paint on this surface.  It is also nice to be able to produce a piece that can be used as well as admired.  I have one space left on the Saturday class, book soon if you are interested.  Click on workshops for class information.

I had a great response to my ‘coffee & craft’ sessions…it looks like being on a Tuesday morning, start date to be confirmed soon.

If you would like to come along now and again to either my Wednesday morning or Wednesday evening class when someone is on holiday or not well, let me know.  The class fee would be £10 and you would work through an individual project.

Til next month…..have some creative fun!

Dawn x
